Las Vegas – Bette Midler has officially been chosen to take the coveted spot of Canadian songstress Celine Dion after she finishes her Las Vegas run at the Colosseum in Caesar's Palace.
"The Divine Miss M" is reportedly ecstatic that she will begin performing in Las Vegas in February 2008. The entertainment promoter AEG Live signed a 2-year deal with the Academy Award-nominated actress and Grammy Award-winning singer to perform at the Colosseum for five days a week starting on February 20, 2008. Comprised of Bette Midler's unparalleled comedy, a remarkable song list, a hilarious "Kiss My Brass" section, among other comical and unique aspects, the Las Vegas show is expected to be the most creative project Bette Midler has ever done.
Bette Midler expressed her enthusiasm for her upcoming show by announcing, "Get ready Vegas cause here I come! Caesar's Palace will never be the same and to all those critics who have accused me of being tacky, too much, and over the top, I say, you ain't seen nuthin' yet!"
Caesar's Palace, one of the top luxury resorts in Las Vegas and worldwide, has presented guests with world-class entertainers for 40 years and aims to continue its luxurious standard with the arrival of Bette Midler at the Colosseum.
