In Week 7 action, the Miami Dolphins hosted the New England Patriots inside Dolphin Stadium in Opa Locka, Florida Sunday.

Who Came, Saw, and Conquered: The Patriots – a picture of 7-0 perfection – routed the still- winless Dolphins 49-28.

Lookin’ Good: QB Tom Brady and the Patriots offense

After Brady racked up 281 yards and 5 TDs, the Patriots led 42-7 as the clock wound down – for halftime. At the end of the game, Brady amassed 354 yards on 21-of-25 passing including a career-high six TDs. With 49 points against the Dolphins, the Pats have tallied 279 points through seven games and are averaging 39.9 PPG – good for 1st in the NFL.

Seen Better Days: Dolphins defense

The Dolphins defense allowed Welker’s 138 yards and two TDs and Moss’ 122 yards and two TDs from 35 and 50 yards out. Granted, the Fins double-teamed Moss in the end zone for both of his scores, but Brady’s barrage of TD passes and the Patriots’ 443 yards of total offense did quite a number on Miami’s defenders.

Keep an Eye On: QB Tom Brady

With six TD passes against the Dolphins, Brady bested his previous career-best five TD passes against the Cowboys in Week 6. In just seven games this season, Brady – who totaled 24 TD passes in all of last season – already has 27 TD passes and is on pace to surpass Peyton Manning’s NFL-single-season TD record of 49.

Week 8 Watch: Indianapolis Colts (6-0) v. Carolina Panthers (4-2)

The Patriots are still perfect on the season, yes, but so are the defending Super Bowl Champion and still undefeated Colts. After ousting division rival Jacksonville 29-7 in Week 7, Peyton Manning and the Colts may be better this season than last, if possible, but have managed to slip under the radar. Look for the Colts to stay perfect in Week 8 and go head to head with the Pats as the best team in the AFC and in the NFL at large.
