Back Door Slam is a blues-rock trio headed by front man Davy Knowles, who writes the majority of Back Door Slam’s songs, contributes on vocals and on guitar. Davy Knowles – better known as Davy K – is joined by drummer Ross Doyle and bassist Adam Jones. The young trio hails from the Isle of Man and has truly rocked the world since forming in 2001.

True to their origin, Back Door Slam’s debut album Roll Away incorporated Celtic music and Folk rock with their predominantly blues-rock sound. Released in 2007, Roll Away showcased Davy Knowles’ angst-filled lyrics alongside Back Door Slam’s unique sound. While Roll Away was not commercially successful, Back Door Slam has continued to rock crowds worldwide.

Davy Knowles’ performance at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas, has garnered him an honorable comparison to the late Jimi Hendrix. Back Door Slam has pleased crowds from Bonnaroo to Lollapalooza and everywhere in between. As their fan base continues to grow, Back Door Slam continues to bring the heat with hits including “It’ll All Come Around”, “Too Good For Me” and many more.
