The 2008-09 NCAA season is about to feel the rush of the University at Buffalo Bulls as they storm into action. Along with excellent football and basketball programs, the Buffalo Bulls also have top-notch track, baseball, cross country, wrestling, and soccer teams. Even with the great success of the other programs, the football and basketball teams are what draw herds of loyal fans out game after game.
Under the leadership of second year head coach Turner Gil, the Buffalo Bulls jumped to a 5-3 record against MAC teams and missed the MAC Championship game by a tiebreaker. With more experience and time in the system, the Buffalo Bulls have a chance to run away with the MAC Championship. University at Buffalo Stadium is sure to be hopping with the army of Blue and White and the sounds of the Thunder of the East marching band.
Under head coach Reggie Witherspoon, the Buffalo Bulls basketball team had a tough time getting started in the competitive MAC East in 2007. But the eight leading scorers from the 2007 squad are back with more experience under their belts. The Buffalo Bulls will get help from their fans in the rowdy Alumni Arena which is always packed with fans ready to get into the heads of opponents.
