Born Audrey Faith Perry in Ridgeland, Mississippi, Faith Hill has been singing since she was in her teens, performing at several churches around her hometown in Mississippi. After moving to Nashville to pursue her musical career, 21-year-old Faith Hill married record executive Dan Hill. In 1993, Faith Hill released her debut album Take Me As I Am, featuring the No. 1 country track “Wild One” and the cover “Piece of My Heart,” made famous by Janis Joplin.

After divorcing her husband in 1994, Faith Hill released her second album It Matters to Me, which peaked at No. 4 on the Country charts. The album sold over 5 million copies and contained the singles “Let’s Go to Vegas,” “Someone Else’s Dream” and Faith Hill’s second No. 1 single “It Matters to Me.” Faith Hill met and married fellow country singer Tim McGraw in 1996. Faith Hill returned to the charts in 1998 with her third album Faith, featuring the No. 1 single “This Kiss” and “Just To Hear You Say That You Love Me,” a duet with Tim McGraw.

In 1999, Faith Hill released Breathe, featuring the title track, which debuted at No. 1 across multiple charts. The album also included the singles “The Way You Love Me” and “Let’s Make Love,” featuring Tim McGraw. Breathe won Faith Hill three Grammy awards and sold over 7 million copies. In 2000, Faith Hill embarked on the Soul2Soul Tour with husband Tim McGraw. After crossing over into pop with her fifth album Cry, Faith Hill returned to country with her 2006 album Fireflies, featuring the single “Mississippi Girl.”

In 2007, Faith Hill recorded a duet with Reba McEntire on the song “Sleeping with the Telephone” for Reba’s album Duets. Faith Hill also released her greatest hits record The Hits and appeared on Tim McGraw’s album Let It Go on the track “I Need You.” Faith Hill will release her first Christmas album Joy to the World in late 2008.
