A native of Dallas, Texas, comedian and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham has been arguing with himself for years. Since the ripe old age of eight, Jeff Dunham has been dedicated to performing comedy routines with puppets. By high school, Jeff Dunham was posing for yearbook photos with his characters for the free promotion. However, it was during his time at Baylor University that Jeff Dunham created some of his most popular sidekicks to date.
Staples of Jeff Dunham’s act since the mid 1980s include Jose Jalapeño, a jalapeño pepper on a stick, charming Peanut and the crabby elderly Walter. These characters helped Jeff Dunham earn television appearances as guests on the <em>Tonight Show</em> and the <em>Late Show with David Letterman</em>. Jeff Dunham even earned the high honor of being only one of a handful of comedians to be asked to the couch after performing on Johnny Carson’s <em>Tonight Show</em>.
