As the lead singer in her family’s band “The Schiffters,” Martina McBride nurtured her unparalleled musical talent at a young age. Fresh out of high school, Martina McBride signed a record deal and released her debut album The Time Has Come in 1992. The debut track “The Time Has Come” reached No. 23 on the Top Country Charts. A year later, Martina McBride released her next album The Way I Am, with her lead single “My Baby Loves Me” making its way to No. 2 followed by singles “Life” and “Independence Day”.
Martina McBride’s first No. 1 “Safe in the Arms of Love” came off her third album Wild Angels. After Evolution made its debut in the fall of 1997, a string of hit singles “Happy Girl,” “A Broken Wing,” and “Valentine” flooded the radio airwaves. Martina McBride’s album Emotion spawned singles “Love’s the Only House,” “There You Are,” and “I Love You,” which spent five weeks at No. 1.
In 2003, Martina McBride released her self-titled album Martina, which once again housed a number of hit singles. “This One’s for the Girls” and “In My Daughter’s Eyes” left their mark on the adult contemporary and the country music charts. Martina McBride teamed up with Dolly Parton to create the duet “I Still Miss Someone” featured on her album Timeless. In April 2007, Waking Up Laughing was released and featured the hit single “Anyway” and “How I Feel.” The tour in support of Waking Up Laughing was one of the most successful ventures for Martina McBride yet, which also launched the career of Little Big Town.
Martina McBride found more critical success with 2009 release album Shine and singles “Ride”, “I Just Call You Mine”, and “Wrong Baby Wrong Baby Wrong”. Martina McBride toured in 2010 with Trace Adkins, landing an even bigger fanbase.
