Seemingly coming out of nowhere to platinum success, Maroon 5 has been able to crossover to various generations and musical tastes due to a universally appreciable sound. With its sad and dreary love song lyrics, the crossover hit “She Will Be Loved” became a favorite of soft radio and TV soundtracks fitting many scenes and broken hearts. After a marathon world tour spanning several years, Songs About Jane went four-times platinum in the US and sold several million more overseas.
Maroon 5 took some time off before releasing the album It Won’t Be Soon Before Long in 2007 to instant success.
