50 Cent

Details

Born Curtis James Jackson III on the rough streets of Jamaica, Queens, New York, 50 Cent got his somewhat modest start in the rap industry when his friend introduced him to the late Jam Master Jay from Run-DMC. After a few years of networking within the New York rap scene, 50 Cent released his first single in 1999 entitled “How to Rob.”

While 50 Cent’s “How to Rob” failed to become a big success, the single did lay the foundation for the success of his first studio album Get Rich or Die Tryin’. Released in February 2003, Get Rich or Die Tryin’ became an immediate success, staying at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for a record six consecutive weeks. Get Rich or Die Tryin’ spawned several hit singles, including its debut single “In Da Club,” which stayed at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for nine weeks.

In 2005, 50 Cent released his second studio album The Massacre. Like Get Rich or Die Tryin’, The Massacre was heavily anticipated, helping 50 Cent further his success as a mainstream rapper. The Massacre reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling an estimated 11 million copies, making the album six-times platinum. The Massacre spawned hits like “Candy Shop” and “Just a Lil Bit.”

With two highly successful albums and numerous hit singles in only six years, 50 Cent has made a name for himself as a rap talent that cannot be missed. As 50 Cent tours the nation and packs in arenas and venues across the country, order your 50 Cent tickets from OnlineTickets.com today!
