Brothers and guitarists Angus and Malcolm Young formed AC/DC in 1973 in Sydney, Australia. By 1974, the Young Brothers completed AC/DC’s lineup with vocalist Bon Scott, bassist Mark Evans and drummer Phil Rudd. AC/DC released its first Australia-only album High Voltage in 1975. The album was quickly followed by the album T.N.T., which featured the classic AC/DC songs "It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock'n'Roll),” “The Jack,” and “T.N.T.”

AC/DC released Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap on Atlantic records in 1976, featuring the title track and “Rocker.” The album was followed by Let There Be Rock in 1977, which produced the guitar-driven classic “Whole Lotta Rosie.” In 1979, AC/DC released its groundbreaking No. 1 Rock album Highway to Hell. The album was vocalist Bon Scott’s last with AC/DC due to his untimely death in 1980.

AC/DC hired singer Brian Johnson in 1980 and released its highest selling US album Back in Black that same year. The album featured the title track and other classic songs “Hells Bells” and “You Shook Me All Night Long." The next year, AC/DC returned with For Those About to Rock (We Salute You), which featured the title track. In 1984, drummer Phil Rudd was replaced by Simon Wright.

With Brian Johnson, AC/DC released its highest selling U.S. album Back in Black, featuring the title track, “Hells Bells,” and “You Shook Me All Night Long." After 35 years together, AC/DC shows no signs of slowing down. Still ferocious as ever, AC/DC returned in 2008 with its 15th studio album Black Ice.
