Born Alejandra Gabriela Guzmán Pinal in Mexico City on February 9, 1968, Mexican rock singer and actress Alejandra Guzman was destined to be a star. Alejandra Guzman’s parents are Mexican actress and politician Silvia Pinal and Venezuelan singer Enrique Guzman. Alejandra Guzman released her debut album Bye Mama in 1988, which produced the hit single “La Plaga.” The following year, Alejandra Guzman returned with Dame Tu Amor, featuring the song “Twist y Grit.”
In 1990, Alejandra Guzman received her biggest hit to date “Eternamente Bella (Eternally Beautiful)," from the album of the same name, which went to No. 1 in her home country of Mexico and landed in the Top 20 in the U.S. along with the album’s second single, “Cuidado con el Corazón.” Alejandra Guzman released her fourth album Flor de Papel (Paper Flower), in 1991; it produced the singles “Reina de Corazones,” “Hacer el Amor con Otro" and “Rosas Rojas.”
Alejandra Guzman released Enorme in 1994. The album featured the songs “Pasa la Vida" and “No Hay Nadie Como Tú.” Alejandra Guzman released her ninth album Algo Natural (Something Natural) in 1999, producing the singles “Enemigos” and the title track. In 2001, Alejandra Guzman released Soy, featuring Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith on the song “Soy Tu Lluvia.” Alejandra Guzman won a Latin Grammy for “Best Rock Solo Vocal Album” in 2002.
Alejandra Guzman returned in 2006 with Indeleble.
