I am surprised to hear the comments about the sound quality. I just went to the 7/30 show in Philly at Citizens Bank Park and was actually a bit apprehensive that the sound quality would be bad, based on experiences with other outdoor stadium concerts. We were the second row up from the dugout, and I thought the sound was amazingly good! I haven't heard from anyone who sat up higher, but all I can say is that there have got to be dependencies on the venue, the seat locations, and the skills of the sound team... I didn't hear any problems with the quality of the equipment.
A great show! (I saw them together in 2002, and have seen them both individually at least 3x each).

We saw the concert last night at The Honda Center in Anaheim, CA, and I have to agree with everyone else: the sound quality was horrible. I've seen other concerts there, including Billy Joel, and in those other concerts the sound was amazingly clear and perfect. This was so incredibly disappointing. You'd think they'd have it down by now. It really was a waste of money, sad to say.

The Charlotte concert was a disappointment for me. The music was great but the sound was deplorable. It wasn't until the fourth set that they got it working well. As poor as it was for the first three sets, it was perfect for the fourth set but by then it was too late to make a difference.

I saw the concert in Houston and it was amazingly fantastic! They are BOTH stellar performers and it was the best concert I have seen in my 39 years! Thanks guys!

Stayed for about 3/4ths of the concert in Houston on 3/19/2009. Had to leave because the sound was so bad. The loudness of the bass and backup instruments almost completely wiped out the vocals. Given the poor sound quality, the concert was a waste of money.

BAD sound quality.
We saw the show on 3-2-09 in Jacksonville, FL. We were at the front of the top balcony and the reverb and sound balance was really bad. (We stopped counting at 5 actual bouts of feedback.) The sound quality was so bad that about 50% of the lyrics could not be made out. This was the worst sound mixing of any concert I've been to.
Otherwise, it would have been a kick ass show. Too bad.

I saw the first Face 2 Face tour back in the 1990s and it was a great experience. I can't believe they are comming to Charlotte!
