My husband is a huge fan of eric clapton and all his songs. We have seen him in concert before and he is definitely the cream of the crop when it comes to guitar work. It is likely that we will need tickets for both shows in Texas.

Hailed as God’s gift to guitar, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Eric Clapton continues to electrify the music world with his unique brand of rock. Eric Clapton’s roots lie in Blues but over the span of his impressive 50-year resume, Eric Clapton has been able to reinvent himself with incredible ease. It’s no surprise Eric Clapton ranks fourth in Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time”.
Eric Clapton got his start with the ‘60s Blues-Rock group The Yardbirds where he gained notoriety for his distinct style and became one of Britain’s most talked about guitarists. Later in the decade, Eric Clapton formed Cream which would turn out to be one of music’s first “power groups.” Over the years, Cream would churn out hit after hit such as “White Room,” “Crossroads,” and “Sunshine of Your Love.”
By the ‘70s, Eric Clapton toured regularly, performed to sell-out crowds, and released the majority of works which would lead him to rock immortality, such as “I Shot the Sherriff,” “After Midnight,” “Layla,” and “Wonderful Tonight.” After the tragic death of Clapton’s four-year-old son in 1991, Eric Clapton penned “Tears in Heaven” – an emotional ballad that won three Grammys for “Male Pop Vocal Performance,” “Record of the Year,” and “Song of the Year.”
Eric Clapton’s Blues-infused music and impressive guitar technique has made “Eric Clapton” a household name. Even in his 60s, Eric Clapton continues to make music and perform live with no signs of stopping. For his gangbusters 2009 tour, Eric Clapton will team with guitar virtuoso Steve Winwood.
