The hottest-selling Country artist of all-time, Garth Brooks has become a living legend. Some artists have a golden touch, but Garth Brooks is the only one in the world with a diamond touch. With six diamond certified albums and countless awards, Garth Brooks could go down as the best musical force of all time. Though he has retired from touring, Garth Brooks does make the occasional comeback, much to the love of millions of fans.
Garth Brooks released his first album Garth Brooks in 1989, which would eventually go 10-times platinum. No. 1 singles “If Tomorrow Never Comes” and “The Dance” made Garth Brooks an instant star. Follow-up album No Fences spawned No. 1 singles “The Thunder Rolls”, “Unanswered Prayers”, “”Friends in Low Places”, and “Two of a Kind, Working on a Full House”. No Fences would eventually go 17-times platinum in the US and several more times in the world market.
Ropin’ The Wind would sell 14 million copies in America, thanks to six Top-10 singles, including four No. 1s such as “What She’s Doing Now” and “Shameless”. Follow-up The Chase was another hitmaker and went nine-times platinum in the US. Album In Pieces would be an eight-time platinum record with three-straight No. 1 singles, including “That Summer”. Fresh Horses would be yet another multi-platinum album, selling seven million copies in America alone. 1997 album Sevens pushed Garth Brooks to even greater heights by going 10-times platinum.
2001 saw the release of Garth Brook’s epic Scarecrow album, largely considered his best work. The multi-platinum Scarecrow would be the last studio album Garth Brooks would release, as he entered retirement. In addition to studio albums, Garth Brooks has also sold more than 50 million live albums. Garth Brooks is still the most in-demand touring artist in the world, and his concerts are more like cultural events.
