Formed in 1991 as a small band between middle school friends, Incubus made numerous demos throughout a two-year period of studio recording. These demos were eventually released as Incubus’ first studio album Fungus Amongus. In 1996, Incubus finally won a record deal with Immortal Records. In Fall 1996, Incubus went on its first tour, establishing a loyal fan base and accelerating their popularity.

S.C.I.E.N.C.E.¸ released in September 1997, was Incubus’ second studio album. S.C.I.E.N.C.E. was recorded in six consecutive weeks, ultimately selling over 700,000 copies and reaching gold status in the United States. S.C.I.E.N.C.E. spawned hits “New Skin,” “Summer Romance,” and “A Certain Shade of Green.” That summer, Incubus toured with the popular Alt-Rock band 311 for a six-week long U.S. tour, widening the band’s fan base and preparing Incubus for its greatest achievement yet, Make Yourself.

Make Yourself would be one of the hallmark albums of the Post-Grunge genre and No. 1 hit “Drive” did as much to open the door to a flood of new bands as it for Incubus themselves. The 2001 album Morning View brought Incubus to the mainstream with crossover single “I Wish You Were Here”, an inescapable hit that ruled the airwaves for months. Incubus would not let up with multi-platinum 2004 album A Crow Left of the Murder. Again the radio would help sell Incubus tickets and albums thanks to single “Megalomaniac.”

Acclaimed 2006 album Light Grenades would be the last album released by Incubus for almost four years. After the much-needed rest, however, Incubus has returned stronger than ever.
