Kid Rock is back on the road with his signature swagger in tow. With hit albums Rock N Roll Jesus, Kid Rock, and Devil Without a Cause under his belt, Kid Rock has certainly proved his critics wrong, coming a long way from his amateur Heavy Metal Rap days in Detroit.
Southern Rock is becoming more and more a part of who Kid Rock is, and he will cement this new musical direction in 2009 with both a new album and a tour with the legendary Lynyrd Skynyrd. See the South rise live in 2009 when your order your premium Kid Rock tickets from OnlineTickets.com today!

Born as Robert Ritchie, Kid Rock was one of the major players in the Rap/Rock movement of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Kid Rock combined Rap and Rock in much purer forms than the Nu-Metal bands of the same time, placing more emphasis on Rap. Though most Nu-Metal bands have faded out of existence, Kid Rock has not only managed to outlive most of his compatriots but has been able to both innovate and remain a popular force.
After spending years in the underground music scene, Kid Rock hit platinum with the 1998 album Devil Without a Cause, featuring singles “Bawitdaba,” “Cowboy,” and “Wasting Time” and showcasing a range of styles from Run DMC style Rap to a Southern Rock style ballad “Only God Knows Why.” Boasting variety and the party-ready sound of many of the tracks, Devil Without a Cause went platinum 11-times over.
A remix album of Kid Rock’s early work The History of Rock was released in 2000, featuring the hit song “American Badass.” In 2001, Kid Rock released Cocky, which was powered by singles “The Lonely Road of Faith” and “Picture” – a duet with Sheryl Crow that allowed Kid Rock to transition to a much broader audience. Capitalizing on this, Kid Rock moved more into a pure Country/Southern Rock direction with Kid Rock, featuring singles “Feel Like Making Love” and “Single Father.”
Kid Rock had his first No. 1 album with Rock N Roll Jesus. Much of this was thanks to singles “So Hott,” “Amen,” and “All Summer Long.” The 2008 Kid Rock tour was a smash success and showed that Kid Rock and his new Southern flavor would go further than the stale Rap-Metal genre. A new Kid Rock album will be released in 2009, and the Kid will live his dream on a 2009 tour with idol Lynyrd Skynyrd.
