Brothers Henry (vocals), Jojo (bass) and Ringo Garza (drums) make up the San Angelo, Texas, band Los Lonely Boys. Formed in the mid-1990s, Los Lonely Boys moved to Nashville, Tennessee and back to Texas to record their self-titled debut album in 2003. Released the following year, Los Lonely Boys peaked at No. 9 on Billboard’s Top 200 and sold over 2 million copies. The first single “Heaven” peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary chart.
“Heaven” was followed by “More than Love,” which peaked at No. 15. Los Lonely Boys features a guest appearance by Willie Nelson on the song “La Contestación.” Los Lonely Boys won a Grammy for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal in 2005. That same year Los Lonely Boys recorded the song “I Don't Wanna Lose Your Love" for Santana’s album All That I Am.
In 2006, Los Lonely Boys released Sacred, which is considered a much fuller album than their debut record due to the use of horn sections and notable guest appearances. Willie Nelson and the trio’s father Enrique Garza join in on the song “Outlaws.” Pat Simmons of the Doobie Brothers co-wrote the song “Roses.” Sacred debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and featured the single “Diamonds.”
Los Lonely Boys covered John Lennon’s “Whatever Gets You Thru the Night” for Instant Karma: The Amnesty International Campaign to Save Darfur album in 2007. In the summer of 2008, Los Lonely Boys will release their third album Forgiven. In support of Forgiven, Los Lonely Boys will join Los Lobos on select dates for the Brotherhood Tour.
