After releasing a compilation of Dire Straits material, Mark Knopfler released a duet album with Emmylou Harris titled All the Roadrunning. With the strength of the single “This is Us,” Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris earned a Grammy nomination. In 2007, Mark Knopfler returned with another solo disc Kill to Get Crimson with singles “Punish the Monkey” and “True Love Will Never Fade”.

Mark Knopfler is currently on the Kill to get Crimson tour which will begin its US phase in the summer of 2008.
