You heard right: Alt-rock vets Stone Temple Pilots – also known as STP – have lined up a concert reunion tour not to be missed. After forming in the early ‘90s and then breaking up in 2002, the group’s original band members – singer Scott Weiland, drummer Eric Kretz, bassist Robert DeLeo, and guitarist Dean DeLeo – are back together and ready to blow some minds this summer.

Despite early criticism and even hostile reviews, Stone Temple Pilots went on to record five studio albums, selling a reported 35 million records worldwide. STP’s debut album Core sold over 3 million copies and produced several big hits, such as “Sex Type Thing,” “Plush,” and “Creep.” STP’s success continued with the Purple album, which debuted at #1, thanks to radio-friendly hits “Interstate Love Song,” "Big Empty," and “Vasoline.”

The Grammy-winning Stone Temple Pilots released albums No. 4 and Shangri-La Dee Da before disbanding in 2002. A greatest hits album entitled Thank You followed, featuring the single “All in the Suit That You Wear.” Although the DeLeo brothers went on to form Army of Anyone and Scott Weiland fronted Velvet Revolver, Stone Temple Pilots fans still hoped for an STP reunion.
