Oozing with sexuality and soul, Tina Turner continues to rock – and she’s never looked better! Born as Anna Mae Bullock, Tina Turner parlayed a back-up vocalist gig with Ike Turner’s touring show into a starring role in the Ike & Tina Turner Revue just two years later. The dynamic duo of Ike and Tina Turner churned out hit singles “A Fool in Love,” “River Deep-Mountain High,” and the immortal “Proud Mary.”
Soon after, Tina Turner ventured down a solo-career path, dabbling in a few movie roles throughout the ‘70s before her solo career finally took off in 1983. The R&B songstress snagged her first solo deal – a soulful take on Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together” – before releasing her debut album Private Dancer, which spawned Tina Turner’s signature song – “What’s Love Got to Do With It.” The album went on to win four Grammys and sold more than 11 million copies.
In 1985, Tina Turner appeared in the film Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome, contributing the hit theme song “We Don’t Need Another Hero.” Soon after in 1986, Tina Turner hit it big with the single “Typical Male” off of the Break Every Rule album. Over the next few years, Tina Turner was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991, charted with albums like Foreign Affair in 1989, Wildest Dreams in 1996, and Twenty Four Seven in 2000, and continued to tour and perform for sold-out audiences.
Throughout a dazzling career that has spanned five decades, Tina Turner has overcome adversity and solidified her name as one of the most electrifying and high-energy performers in all of rock, R&B, and soul. Now, Tina Turner has announced a 17-city North American concert tour - her first tour since the top-selling Twenty Four Seven tour in 2000. Get ready for spectacular choreography and a slew of greatest hits as the legendary diva performs live. Order Tina Turner tickets from OnlineTickets.com today!
