Indie-Rock group Wilco has been rocking the underground since 1993 but didn’t hit it big until the release of its fourth album and most successful effort to date, Yankee Foxtrot Hotel. Wilco’s star would continued to rise with its follow-up album A Ghost is Born, which earned the band two Grammys and critical acclaim to boot.
Album Sky Blue Sky may not have lost that new car smell yet, but Wilco is already set to release another studio album in 2009. Wilco will tour in 2009 so order your premium Wilco tickets from OnlineTickets.com today!

Chicago-based Indie-Rock group Wilco has been on the music scene since 1993 when the band released its debut album A.M. Although the Country-Rock tinged A.M. was accepted warmly, two more albums – Being There and the lush Summerteeth – before Wilco would truly make its mark on music with the band’s critically acclaimed fourth album Yankee Foxtrot Hotel in 2002.
Wilco’s Yankee Foxtrot Hotel was the first album to see singles on the charts and remains Wilco’s best selling album to date. On the strength of singles “I Am Trying to Break Your Heart” and “War on War,” the album reached No. 13 on the Billboard 200 charts. After releasing Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, Wilco embarked on an extensive tour before getting started on follow-up album A Ghost is Born in 2003.
A Ghost is Born became Wilco’s first Top 10 album in the U.S. and featured songs “Theologians,” “At Least That’s What You Said,” and “Hell is Chrome.” What’s more, Wilco won two Grammy awards for this album, including “Best Alternative Music Album” and “Best Recording Package.” Wilco’s work has also influenced fellow Indie-Rock acts such as Pete Yorn and The Minus 5 to name just a few.
Many critics have listed Wilco’s 2007 album Sky Blue Sky as the best yet, with song “Impossible Germany” gaining the most praise. Even though Wilco was constantly on tour in 2008 in support of the album, they still had time to write and record a new album due out in 2009. With only a short break, Wilco will be on tour again and has tour stops scheduled in America and Europe. Order your premium Wilco tickets securely from OnlineTickets.com today!
