Over his 20-year history as a performer, Jay White has mastered the talent of impersonation. Jay White began his eventful career as a Neil Diamond impersonator in 1982 at Mr. F’s Supper Club in Detroit. Jay White practiced his best Neil Diamond impersonation with the Detroit nightclub and the 1980 movie The Jazz Singer, which starred Neil Diamond.
Jay White continually juggled between his impersonation career and his job as an insurance salesman. However, in 1989, after a promising audition, Jay White was given a seven-week stint at a Reno, Nevada casino, which would ultimately become his big breakthrough. After his seven-week Reno show, Jay White moved from his Michigan home to Las Vegas to star alongside other famous impersonators in Legends in Concert, ultimately becoming the longest running performing act in Legends in Concert history.
