The Chicago Fire team was created in 1997. In its first season, the Chicago Fire won the MLS Cup and the U.S. Open cup as well. Ten years later, the Chicago Fire is the one team that has won more U.S. Open cups than any other club. Barret earned a starting position for the Chicago Fire in 2007, the same year Blanco came in, and both players have been together since.
