New coach Raheem Morris is in for longtime coach Jon Gruden and promises to bring a more aggressive style of play to both sides of the ball. The Tampa-2 may be on the way out but fans can expect the Bucs to bring the same tenacious fire to the field as they aim to conquer the NFC South and the Super Bowl once again.

After a 9-7 season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers fired beloved coach Jon Gruden. Though “Chucky” had brought the Tampa Bay Buccaneers their only Super Bowl, management thought a change was needed. Raheem Morris was promoted from defensive coordinator to the head job and is quickly making the team his own. Though Raheem Morris certainly has a philosophy different from Tony Dungy and Jon Gruden, he is a worthy successor to those two Tampa Bay legends.
Titan-sized QB Byron Leftwich gets the start and will be a good mentor for rookie Josh Freeman. RB Derrick Ward joins a full stable of ponies featuring Cadillac Williams and Ernest Graham. TE Kellen Winslow may be the best player on the team and will be the focal-point of the passing attack, though WR Antonio Bryant is expected to deliver big things in 2009. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense is leaving the Tampa-2 behind but should be much more aggressive. Notable defenders include CB Aqib Talib, DE Gaines Adams, and MLB Barrett Ruud.
Raheem Morris has the makings of a great coach but his first year will be a difficult one. The NFC South is the most unpredictable in football and will see the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on rivals the New Orleans Saints, Carolina Panthers, and Atlanta Falcons. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers also play the AFC East this year, which brings the likes of the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins to the field.
Come on down to Raymond James Stadium in St. Petersburg, Florida, and see the Tampa Bay Buccaneers fight to victory.
