When the WNBA opened its doors to two more teams for the 1999 season, the Minnesota Lynx were formed. The Minnesota Lynx took up residence at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the home of their brother team the Minnesota Timberwolves. After stumbling through the league for three seasons, the Minnesota Lynx made a coaching change and Suzie McConnell Serio entered to turn things around; she did in dramatic fashion.
