Blast! first started when the Star of Indiana Drum and Bugle Corps won the1991 World Championship of drum corps. In 1993, the corps started touring in a program named the Brass Theater. A few years later, the now famed Blast! made its debut at the London Apollo in 1999 and soon made its way to America.

When Blast! premiered on Broadway in 2001, it was a huge success and garnered the show a Tony Award for “Best Special Theatrical Event.” Furthermore, Blast! was also awarded with a 2001 Emmy Award for “Best Choreography.” With two prestigious awards from its first year, Blast! was ready to blast off all over the world.

Blast! consists of two acts filled with many routines. Among them includes “Bolero,” which is an orchestral piece that will energize audiences with its zesty beat. Blast! also features never-before-heard sounds and sights with their “Marimba Spiritual” and “Color Wheel” routines. While the musicians show off their talents, Blast!’s signature performers will be twirling and tossing their signature props.
