The AC/DC lyrics to the song “Thunderstruck” were co-written by brothers Angus Young and Malcolm Young for AC/DC’s 1990 album The Razor’s Edge. AC/DC guitarist Angus Young found the inspiration to write “Thunderstruck” after the plane on which he was flying was struck by lightning. The traumatic near-death experience led to the creation of one of AC/DC’s most revered hard-rock songs.
