TNT: Background of TNT
The AC/DC song “T.N.T.” was written by band members Bon Scott, Malcolm Young, and Angus Young. The song appears on the 1976 Australia-only album T.N.T. and on AC/DC’s 1976 international debut album High Voltage. A live version of the AC/DC song “T.N.T.” also appears on the live concert album Let There Be Rock: The Movie soundtrack, which is apart of AC/DC’s 1997 Bonfire box set.

The AC/DC song “T.N.T.” is one of the band’s most famous of their early career. The song’s signature explosive blues-rock guitar-riff catapulted “T.N.T.” to the top of the Australian charts in the Spring of 1976. Since the song’s release, even fans without AC/DC tickets could hear the song “T.N.T.” being performed. “T.N.T.” has been featured in popular films such as Napoleon Dynamite and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. “T.N.T.” has also been used by the American baseball teams the San Francisco Giants and Cleveland Indians during games.
