Canadian rocker Bryan Adams started rocking when he was a teenager and hasn’t stopped since, with a new album out in 08.


Bryan Adams: History
Bryan Adams was born in Kingston, Ontario Canada where at age 15 Bryan Adams quit school and began to focus solely on music. Bryan Adams worked various odd jobs around North Vancouver while performing as the lead singer for local nightclub bands like Shock and Sweeney Todd. At the age of 18, Bryan Adams sent a few demos to A&M Records, including songs like “Remember”, “I’m Ready”, and “Let Me Take You Dancing” which would be his first-ever solo release.

Bryan Adams: Musical Beginnings
In 1980 Bryan Adams released a self-titled debut album which would mark the start of a longtime songwriting partnership with Jim Vallance. Bryan Adam’s second album was entitled You Want It You Got It and it had one radio hit called “Lonely Nights”. Bryan Adams’ third album proved a bigger success, and Bryan Adams broke out with four more hits. Cuts Like a Knife marked Bryan Adams’ musical breakthrough. Many of the songs on Cuts Like a Knife like “Straight from the Heart”, “The Best is Yet to Come”, and “Don’t Leave Me Lonely” are fan favorites even today.

Bryan Adams: Continued Success
On Bryan Adam’s 25th birthday his fourth studio album Reckless was released. Reckless is Bryan Adams’ most definitive album. The album includes all of the classic Bryan Adams tracks he is remembered for like “Summer of ‘69”, “Run to You”, “Somebody” and Bryan Adams’ first No.1 hit “Heaven”. Bryan Adams recorded a duet with songstress Tina Turner called “It’s Only Love” which was nominated for a Grammy for “Best Rock Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group”.

Bryan Adams: The ‘90s
Bryan Adams’ next album Waking Up the Neighbors is one of Bryan Adams’ most successful albums. Waking Up the Neighbors included the single “(Everything I Do) I Do it For You” which was used in the popular Kevin Costner film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. The popular single also won Bryan Adams a Grammy Award for “Best Song Written Specifically for a Motion Picture or for Television”. “(Everything I Do) I Do it For You” climbed the charts and landed at No. 1 for a record-breaking 16 weeks in the UK and 17 weeks in the United States. Bryan Adams’ next album was a collection of hits called So Far So Good and contained the popular single “Please Forgive Me”.  In 1996 Bryan Adams released 18 till I Die which contained one of Bryan Adams most well known hits called “Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?”

Bryan Adams: Duets
Bryan Adams has been known for his success as a duet artist. At the height of his career in the ‘80s Bryan Adams released the duet with diva Tina Turner called “It’s Only Love”. As the years progressed Bryan Adams recorded various other songs with popular artists. Later when his career was really skyrocketing, Bryan Adams recorded “Rock Steady” with Bonnie Raitt, “I Finally Found Someone” with Barbara Streisand which peaked at No.1 internationally, and “When You’re Gone” with Melanie C formerly of the Spice Girls.

Bryan Adams: Newest Album
In March 2008 Bryan Adams internationally released his newest album simply called 11. To promote 11 Bryan Adams will tour 11 cities in 11 days. “I Thought I’d Seen Everything” is the single off of Bryan Adams’ 11. Fans and critics alike consider Bryan Adams’ newest album 11 his best since Waking Up the Neighbors.
