Lyrics for the Coldplay song “Fix You” were written by Coldplay band members Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Will Champion, and Johnny Buckland. “Fix You” was released on September 5, 2005, as the second Coldplay single off of 2005’s X&Y album. Coldplay vocalist Chris Martin was inspired to write the song lyrics after the 2002 death of his wife’s father. The song structure of “Fix You” is based around a church organ and keyboard.
