Kevin Jonas: Beginnings
Kevin Jonas was born Paul Kevin Jonas II on November 5, 1987, in Teaneck, New Jersey. Kevin Jonas is the oldest of four boys born to parents Denise and Kevin Jonas Sr., a former pastor. Because of Kevin Jonas Sr.’s job, the Jonas family moved around frequently, settling in Arizona and later Texas. However, when Kevin Jonas Sr. was offered a job as a minister in Wyckoff, New Jersey, the Jonas family had a chance to plant their roots. In 2000, when Kevin Jonas’ younger brother Nick Jonas began his Broadway career by starring in the productions A Christmas Carol, Annie Get Your Gun and Les Misérables, Kevin Jonas’ mother Denise Jonas brought Kevin and younger brother Joe to acting auditions in nearby New York City. The auditions proved successful for Kevin Jonas and Joe Jonas; Joe Jonas soon appeared in several Broadway productions.
