The lyrics for the song “Stay” were penned entirely by Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland, a country-music band. Jennifer Nettles sings lead vocals while Kristian Bush provides acoustic guitar in the background. Sugarland’s “Stay” was the final single from the band’s wildly successful 2006 album Enjoy the Ride and hit the country-radio airwaves in September 2007.
