Saints of Los Angeles Lyrics:
Tonight, there's gonna be a fight
So if you need a place to go
Got a two room slum
A mattress and a gun
And the cops don't never show
So come right in, cause everybody sins
Welcome to the scene of the crime
You want it? believe it?
You got it if you need it
The devil is a friend of mine
If you think it's crazy, you ain't seen a thing
Just wait until we're goin’ down in flames
We are, we are the saints
We signed our life away
Doesn't matter what you think
We're gonna do it anyway
We are, we are the saints
One day you will confess
And pray to the Saints of Los Angeles
Red line, tripping on a landmine
Sippin' at the Troubadour
Girls passed out, naked in the back lounge
Everybody's goin to score
She's all jacked up, she's down on her luck
You want it, you need it
The devil's gonna feed it
Don'tcha say it's crazy, you don't know a thing
Just wait until we're going down in flames
We are, we are the saints
We signed our life away
Doesn't matter what you think
We're gonna do it anyway
We are, we are the saints
One day you will confess
And pray to the Saints of Los Angeles
Give it up, give it up
Give it up, give it up
Give it up, give it up
Give it up, give it up
Give it up, give it up
We are, we are the Saints
We signed our life away
Doesn't matter what you think
We're gonna do it anyway
We are, we are the Saints
One day you will confess
And pray to the Saints of Los Angeles
Saints of Los Angeles: 1980s
Starting as a band influenced by the works of Punk masters like the Sex Pistols, Motley Crue entered the vaunted Los Angeles Glam Metal scene in the early 1980s and would define the era of sleaze and indulgence. Taking a rougher approach to Metal than bands like Poison, Motley Crue tickets sold to fans from all over the Hard Rock world, even to people that would not be caught dead in a Glam show. Selling over 80 million albums and making history with singles like “Girls, Girls, Girls” and “Home Sweet Home”, Motley Crue defined a decade of music.
Saints of Los Angeles: The 2000s
Motley Crue suffered through the same problems of all Glam bands and broke up for years in the 1990s. The original lineup finally buried the hatchet in 2004, and Motley Crue tickets became one of the top draws in the world. Knowing that another compilation album would not do for their loyal fans, Motley Crue released acclaimed album Saints of Los Angeles in 2008. Single “Saints of Los Angeles” was received especially well by critics and fans, and the lyrical attack on their former record label earned Motley Crue a Grammy nomination.
Saints of Los Angeles: On Tour
Motley Crue emerged as one of the top touring acts in 2008 thanks to Crue Fest, which joined Motley Crue with modern rockers like Buckcherry and Trapt. “Saints of Los Angeles” was also a big hit on the radio and with internet downloads, helping to grow the cult of the Crue even more. With critics and fans young and old in their corner, Motley Crue will tour the world in 2009.
