Turns out the Las Vegas rumors are indeed true, as Cher – the legendary singer, actress, and all-around entertainer – will return to the Sin City spotlight where Cher first got her start opening for Pat Boone back in 1969. Cher has signed on for a 200-show run over the course of three years at the Caesars Palace Colosseum – a 4,200-seat theater and former home to Celine Dion’s “A New Day.” Cher’s Las Vegas show will feature the indestructible diva and American music icon performing a slew of her greatest hits from over the years. Cher’s show in Las Vegas will play four nights a week, alternating with Bette Midler’s “The Showgirl Must Go On” and Elton John’s “Elton John and the Red Piano” show starting on May 6, 2008, and will run for a month, initially. Then, Cher will return to the Sin City stage starting again in August 2008 and officially end in October.
