2009 NBA All Star Game: Voting
With millions of votes cast and dozens of superstar names to choose from, the 2009 NBA All Star Game is off to a history-making start. Center Dwight Howard is the first player in NBA All Star Game history to eclipse the 3 million-vote mark. This will be Dwight Howard’s third All Star appearance. The reserves for each team have not been selected just yet, as the 30 NBA head coaches will vote for seven players within their conferences.

The Eastern Conference NBA All Star starters include: guards Dwyane Wade (Miami Heat) and Allen Iverson (Detroit Pistons); forwards Kevin Garnett (Boston Celtics) and LeBron James (Cleveland Cavaliers); and center (and overall leading vote getter) Dwight Howard (Orlando Magic). With a few weeks left before the All Star Game tips off, the head coach of the Eastern Conference team is still undecided, but will likely be either Stan Van Gundy (Orlando Magic) or Mike Brown (Cleveland Cavaliers).

2009 NBA All Star Game: East Lineup

The coach of the Western Conference has been named with Los Angeles Lakers skipper Phil Jackson getting the nod.

2009 NBA All Star Game: Halftime
