Paul Pierce: High School & College
Born on October 13, 1977, and raised in Inglewood in California, Paul Pierce would soon take the sports world by storm. A star athlete, Paul Pierce played basketball throughout his junior and senior years in Inglewood High School. In 1995, Paul Pierce played in the McDonald’s All-American Game and participated in the Slam Dunk Contest.

Paul Pierce would go on to play for University of Kansas, where he averaged 16.4 PPG and 6.3 RPG in his three seasons with the Jayhawks. Earning Big 12 Conference Tournament MVP honors in 1997 and 1998, Paul Pierce was destined for a pro basketball career. Paul Pierce entered the 1998 NBA Draft where he was selected as the No. 10 pick by the Boston Celtics.
