About Rose Bowl

In 1902 the inaugural Rose Bowl game kicked off, and it has been played annually since 1916. Since the 1940s the Rose Bowl has been the highest attended college football bowl game. The Rose Bowl is such a time-honored American tradition that it has sewn its way into the fabric of the “American New Year Celebration” as part of the Tournament of Roses, with the Rose Parade held in the morning before the Rose Bowl.

Year after year the Rose Bowl plays host to the nation’s powerhouse teams including the Texas Longhorns, USC Trojans, Michigan Wolverines, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Miami Hurricanes and many more. Past Player of the Game recipients include Andre Johnson, Matt Leinart, two-time winner Vince Young, and Keyshawn Johnson, to name just a few. The 2006 Rose Bowl is often-seen as the best game in NCCA history, where the Texas Longhorns and Vince Young notched an improbable fourth-quarter comeback against the USC Trojans.

Now, the much-derided BCS system is gone, and NCAA football fans are getting the College Football Playoffs they have craved for a generation. The 2015 Rose Bowl will be one of two playoff games, joining the Allstate Sugar Bowl as the gateway to the penultimate NCAA College Football Championship. Keeping its traditional New Year’s Day spot, the Rose Bowl could be one of the most-watched sporting events of all time. The 2015 Rose Bowl will see the Oregon Ducks and Heisman hopeful QB Marcus Mariotta against QB Jamies Winston and his Florida State Seminoles.

Join in a time-honored commemoration of the New Year and celebrate the 102nd anniversary of the Rose Bowl with thousands of other college football fans at Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California. Don your team colors and bring in the New Year in style when you order your 2015 Rose Bowl tickets from OnlineTickets.com today!
