About New Orleans Saints

As if under the curse of some Louisiana witchdoctor, the New Orleans Saints have gone through countless years of futility. Once branded as the “Aints” by their rabid fanbase, Saints teams of the past have played in front of half-filled stadiums and crowds masked with paper bags. The arrival of head coach Sean Payton changed all that, and the Bill Parcells disciple soon stocked the team with offensive weapons and injected a winning attitude in the locker room. This regime change came to its true fruition with a Super Bowl win in 2010, the first-ever in New Orleans Saints history. A top team ever since, the New Orleans Saints made another postseason run in 2014. With even more talent, the New Orleans Saints are favorites to take the NFC South Title in 2014.

Record-setting QB Drew Brees is both the heart and soul of the New Orleans Saints. A former Super Bowl MVP, the arm of Drew Brees is only surpassed by his football mind and leadership. The Saints offense is overflowing with weapons like TE Jimmy Graham, RB Mark Ingram, RB Pierre Thomas, and wideouts Marques Colston, and Kenny Stills. The defense switched to the 3-4 under Rob Ryan, and will focus much more on the blitz. S Kenny Vaccaro leads the top-flight secondary, while DE Cameron Jordan is a force in the front seven.

With head coach Sean Payton returning from suspension, the New Orleans Saints were back to their winning ways. No one foresaw the collapse of the Atlanta Falcons, but the Saints did not have an easy road, with the Carolina Panthers emerging as an NFL superpower. Going 11-5 in the 2013 season, the New Orleans Saints may have lost out on a NFC South Title, but they did land a wildcard spot in the 2014 NFL Playoffs. Traveling out East to take on the Philadelphia Eagles, the New Orleans Saints managed to get the win in one of the coldest games of the year. Missing their chance to make the Super Bowl thanks to the Seattle Seahawks, the New Orleans Saints are even hungrier in 2014, and could dominate the NFC South and NFC as a whole.

Over the past few years, the Louisiana Superdome has become an American landmark and plays home to the Saints. The Superdome boasts the best atmosphere in the NFL and is always filled to the rafters with the good ol’ black-n-gold. The offensive genius of Drew Brees and the unmatched home-field advantage of the Louisiana Superdome will have opponents flummoxed all season long.  Don’t miss an offensive explosion inside the Superdome or catch it on the road when you order your New Orleans Saints tickets from OnlineTickets.com!
