For the first time in 12 years, the Boston College Eagles basketball team played its way back to the Sweet Sixteen with a school-record high of 28 wins in the 2005-06 season. A former star player himself, Coach Al Skinner has led the Boston College Eagles to new heights and was rewarded as Coach of the Year in 2000. Under the reign of coach Al Skinner, Boston College Eagles attended five NCAA tournaments and produced a slew of talented hoopsters.
