- I live in DC an Fantasia has been on that stage every since it started June 30th. And one thing that i like about the kenndy center was that they put up all of the dates that fantasia wasn't going to be their nor performing Her performance in the color purple is to beautiful for words so i don't know what Angelique experience was. Just google dc reviews with fantasia.

- Beware if you are planning to see Fantasia in the Color Purple in DC. Not all shows are starring Fantasia even though that is what is advertised. Overall I would have to say that it was OK. Maybe Fantasia playing Celie would have made the difference. I don't know, but I was very dissappointed to get a ticket to see Fantasia in the Color Purple and not be able to.

- As a fans of the book I am glad the producers did such a true adaption. Its tough subject matter but the story is told beautifully
