Texas Stadium sings and shines with Texas pride. Maybe it’s because the NFL home team Dallas Cowboys have five Super Bowl championship banners hanging from the roof. It could be because the infamous hole in the roof intrigues fans and stands out from other NFL venues. Perhaps it’s because every seat in the 65,000-seat venue boasts excellent and intimate views of all the rough-and-tumble Cowboy action on the field. Quite possibly it’s because of the 16,500 parking spaces surrounding the stadium or the 52 concession stands located throughout the stadium. No matter the reasons, Texas Stadium has shined for over 30 years since first opening in 1971. Although the Cowboys’ new stadium is scheduled to open after the 2008 season, there’s still plenty of time to get your last Texas Stadium hurrahs and your Texas-sized taste of rich Cowboys history, traditions, and unparalleled football experiences at every game.
