Since the Alamodome first opened in 1993, the city of San Antonio has enjoyed all the comforts of a domed, multi-purpose facility with plenty of space and unobstructed sightlines from every seat in the house. As host of conventions and myriad sporting events, including basketball, hockey, football and NCAA’s annual Alamo Bowl, the Alamodome houses about 65,000 seats – expandable for bigger events while also accommodating smaller, more intimate events.
